ERG & Council Conference Announcement

Thank you to all who attended our 2019 AEC conference in Orlando, Florida. As a result of your participation, our conference was a huge success, with our highest attendance in history, coupled with a unique opportunity for learning, networking and overall fun! Now that we have had a chance to wrap up the 2019 details, we are looking forward to 2020! We are making some exciting enhancements to our conference, and wanted to bring you into the loop on what we have in store.

Timing - next year, we will be bringing our conference to you in the latter part of 2020. This will allow us to wrap up the 2019 details and make necessary updates to our logistics and agenda. Our goal is to continue to bring you a learning experience that exposes you to forward moving thought leadership and research, along with the ability to connect with experts in our field.

Location - we are looking at a location that will be relatively easy for our clients, members and all interested parties to get to. We are currently seeking ideal locations and will let you know as soon as we have secured a spot.

Top 25 Application - Our top 25 Honors Award ceremony will continue to be a highlight of our event. We will open the application process in January 2020, and allow ample time for you to complete the exercise with the appropriate due diligence. The exciting news here is that we are looking at additional ways to celebrate all the great work that you are doing within your ERGs/BRGs.

Sponsorship - Yes, we are actively seeking sponsorship opportunities! As a sponsor of our event, you are automatically part of the exclusive group to receive many benefits and perks not available to the general public. There are various levels of sponsorship, so you can select the one that is right for you. Some of these advantages are:

  • Additional conference registrations, and special discounts
  • VIP reception prior to event kick-off
  • Special event branding and logo exposure
  • Program advertisement
  • Reserved table for Honors Award
  • More information to follow on how to participate!

image of Fernando SerpaAnd finally, it is with a heavy heart that we inform you that Fernando Serpa, our Executive Director of the Association of ERGs and Counsels (AECs), has decided to move on from his current role in order to pursue his long-term goals to travel the globe. The good news is that Fernando will continue to contract with us for ERG/Council related work including facilitating and consulting. Fernando's last day with PRISM will be October 11th. We are working through his transition and we are fortunate that he has left us in a great position to continue our obligations with our award winners.

We want to thank Fernando for the incredible work he has done over the last 3+ years to position both the AEC and conference in such a successful way. We had our most well attended and sponsored event in 2019 thanks to his leadership and the work of Debbie Mitchell, Michelle Brown and countless others

With many thanks,

Cile Johnson and Lynn Cowart
